:cat: Hi there Ken. You are right. A litre of petrol for my car is now NZ$1.80.9. I went to Havelock North last weekend and back to Papatoetoe. At speeds between 100 - 120 k's per hour-I still used less petrol than a night at the Wairakei Resort cost. I did the return trip (over 800k's) on less than one tank. I had about nine litres to spare when I refuelled.

I am looking forward to the trip away though. The break will be nice. I have not been to Taumaranui for about twelve years-maybe even longer. The last time I actually stayed there was in the early 60's.

Are you sure that you don't want to attend the meeting? We would really like to see you there. Please consider it. You could end up as the President. We need a new President.

Hi Aucks.

Actually I'm keen on taking my car out of town but it has not had that cooling fan (recall) done yet.

Also the car is not 100% (see description in my garage). So I am limiting use to essential travel only. I'm booked in at the dealers on May 4.

I guess I can give you a letter of acceptance but only as a backup in case no one else volunteers. But I really prefer a role other than President & Secretary.

President - sounds like a lot of work.
Secretary - I may not always be around to take the minutes.

Editor sounds cool - but I don't want to deprive Jono or anyone else who is keen.
