I decided to jsut install a new system in my 1992 960 but I have a few questions I need answered. First how do I drill out the speakers, I'm kinda of at a loss at what everyone means by drilling them out. Second does anyone know the size of the dash speakers? They look like 3 inch to me but i can't tell and I haven't been able to find it anywhere online.

The dash speakers are 4". And if the speakers in the door are anything like the 940's, they're riveted in which makes drilling necessary. I took mine out with a flathead screwdriver and a pair of wire cutters though.

Thanks, I never got a reply so I bit the bullet and took a guess. Everything worked out so my Volvo has a nice new audio system in it. I'm going to upgrade it again thought, so I don't think it will ever be really done. Also I love the avatar, you don't happen to frequent SA do you?
