Attached ImageHey guys. Just been given my old 321BHP 850 T5R back.

I owned it a few years ago, then sold it to my father. He bought a Jag XJR about 3 mths back and the 850 has just been sat there, not being used.
He said I could have it back if I wanted it, I asked how much and he just smiled and winked.

I think I should at least get him a nice bottle of scotch as a token thankyou.

Here's a couple of pic's, what do you think?

Stu.

Thanks guys.

It is a nice one, the only downside is that the interior is very well worn, and being an ex-motorway police car, it doesn't have any extras. I think to keep costs down they just order top spec on the stuff that makes it go like hell. Never mind, it's more fun whupping Evo's and imprezas than playing with a climate control button.

Big Ben, Cannock isn't too far from us, we're just outside of Dudley, so your kind offer is a possibility, but I think I'll decline. Sorry.

Stu.

LOL...well you cant blame me for trying can you :P

There is an ex police car center, i think in Brierly Hill, and i thought long and hard about a T5R from there, but sadly i didnt have the guts and tried to "play it Safe" with a non turbo from an independent "volvo estate" only dealer from Newcastle under Lyme (so far, so good!) :gitara:

Best of luck with it.....and enjoy!

It does need a little bit of a tidy up, there's also a little paint bubble on the roof, I suspect it's from where they filled the holes after taking out the antenna.
Nothing a little TLC won't put right.

That place up in Brierley Hill is quite good, they do have some tidy ones up there.
Not just Volvo's either, they have the Range Rovers and I've seen a couple of Merc' estates up there too.
Good thing about buying ex-police is they get a service every 3-5000 miles.

STU,

What do you mean NO extras...???

The 321bhp IS ABOUT 100 hp EXTRA! (Compared to mine at stock-factory)
:)

This time, keep it, eh?

And let's not forget, they only sold just a couple of hundred "T-5R"s...

Really??? Only 200.???

I was considering doing a couple of little jobs on it, then selling it on. And give my old man a 50 - 75% cut.

But with there only being 200 of them, very tempted to keep it.

Just one prob'.

One of the four is going to have to go, which one should it be?

Love the 240 (Nelly) too much to let it go, the wife uses the S40 and loves it to bits, so it's looking like the 960, which I also love.

Boo Hoo!!!!

Well, OK, sorry... I didn't mean just 200 but rather just a few hundred of them.. Am not sure how many exactly. Sorry...
:)

The "T5R"s are very difficult to get, even in my country... And it was purposedly meant to be some sort of a limited edition...

You can get many T5s, though... I am sure...
:)

If the S40 is Phase 1, then I'd say sorry to the wife...
:)

But then again, your T5R is only ALL about SPEED and POWER... You could make GOOD $$$ out of it.

Just checked out the "200" thing on wikipedia, they made a 2500 T5Rs as limited edition. But only 200 came to the U.K.

Didn't know that!!
