Looking at upgrading my audio system in my '94 850 Sedan. After read several post across several forums I am looking at the SC-900/901 (single in dash CD) unit. I think it's the last unit made that is stock that will fit in my 850 dash except for the SC-900/901 (mult in dash CDs)

From what I have read it seems to be the best stock unit (w CD) that I have found due to its customizable 5-band equalizer built into it, as well as defeatable pre-set equalization curves for different Volvo vehicles.

I am curious about the later model optional AMPs. The SC-900/901 unit all seem to have been paired with 4channel 50, 60 or 100W RMS AMPs if I understood what I have been researching. I would be interesting in getting more power and if that's possible without an aftermarket AMP in the trunk, bonus.

So, I have recently run across a few post mentioning the PA-200 and PA-300 AMPs that seem to be used in configurations with the HU-803 or HU-413 recievers. The AMP connections on the back of these units looks exactly like the SC-900/901 units. So, I am curious if anyone could confirm if those AMPs would be a viable solution for my configuration? There doesn't seem to be any info the AMP themselves out on the web, or at least none that I can find.
