:cat: Hi there taffy. :00000732: to Volvo forums.

:liebe011: for joining us.

Hopefully you shall receive several replies from the experts soon. I moved this topic to the 440 forum. You might score a lot more replies there rather than here.

Cheers :right:

:00000732: taffy.

When tyres are cold you need 30 psi (2.1 bars) front & 28 psi (1.9 bars) rear. Increase to 33 psi front & 30 psi rear if car is fully loaded.

Best if you get hold of a Haynes manual, no. 1691 - you're bound to need one at some point!

If you're interested, members are planning a meet on Saturday - see Regional forum - Europe - UK subforum.

Sounds idyllic Taffy.

Well, if you've got a mountain man's strong stomach & want to see what Volvo nutters look like, maybe we'll see you on Saturday! I know it's a bit of a hike (it's a 250 mile round trip for us I believe).

My 440 Si hatchback is from 1994 so I hope is not much different from yours. The owners manual handbook says this.

Front Cover:
Volvo 440/460 1994

Forecourt Info:
Cold Tyres 30-33 psi front, 27-30 rear. The lower figures are for a lightly loaded car driven slowly and the higher for fully loaded up and sustained fast driving.

Inside the tyre detail included sizes:
175/65 R 14 T, 185/65 R 14 H, 185/55 R 15 H.

There is supposed to be a label under the lock on the drivers door or pillar, giving tyre info. Just the sort of thing that gets forgotten in a respray.

Hope all that helps. Best wishes,

Jim
