Is it worth the time and expense to put IPD sway bars, chassis braces and panhard rod on a 1995 940 turbo wagon? What benefts will these have for the vehicle? Are there any draw backs? Are the IPD products quality items? I have stock wheels and tires which I wasn't planning on changing. Is the installation easy? Thx for the assistance. P.S. Any suggestions to improve winter traction for this car? :liebe011:

I can not comment on anything other than the IPD front and rear swaybars. Believe me, this sway bar purchase was the single best purchase I could have made for my 91 940 Turbo wagon. The benefit is that the car will handle much, much better. As far as I am concerned there are no negative implacations regarding a swaybar purchase. Unless you have five thumbs you should be able to install both ends of the car. Second purchase for me would be a set of high quality gas shocks and that would be about it.

Concerning winter driving, I drove my 940 for three winters here in New Hampshire. We have, except for this year, over 80 inches of snow each winter. What I would advise is that you purchase a set of steel wheels and 4, yes, 4 high quality made in Sweden snow tires. I never had a problem with traction with this combination. I find keeping snow tires on their own wheels makes an easier seasonal change. Plus, with the amount of salt used to treat the roads in the North East the change to steel keeps my mag wheels looking clean.
