I am taking my delivery of my new XC90 V8 tomorrow in Los Angelese where the monthly lease rate is $100+ cheaper than any dealer can give me in San Francisco. I had thought that the XC90 V8 comes with all weather tires and much to my chagrin it doesn't. I am planning on driving the car to Lake Tahoe this weekend under what is supposed to be blizzard-like condition. I wanted to know if others could share their experiences driving in the snow and what type of tire I need. Thanks.

Drives: 2005 Volvo XC 90 2.5T AWD
I installed 4 Blizzak DMZ snow tires on my XC 90 2.5T AWD (2005) here in Steamboat Springs Colorado and have been awed by their performance. We have had over 30 feet (that is not a typo) of the white stuff and I have not had a problem driving in these conditions.
