Finally made our decision for two 2006 Volvos. Got an XC90 for myself and an S40 for my sweet wife.

Went to get the XC90 on one of those good old Québec freezing rain day. Highways were closed and streets were bumpy and slippery. Gave me an opportunity to test that traction system. It is simply amazing. The dealer offered great services and the delivery was on time and well performed. The only problem came from Volvo finance. Since I had no other credit history than my mortgage, they wouldn't finance. Took a lot of discussion, but they finally came to their senses.

Anyone knows if the headphones infrared frequency for the DVD sys. differs from one car to the other? We couldn't find mine so they gave me two other pairs. They don't seem to connect with the DVD. It is not the system cause you can get the sound on the rear radio speakers. We had a little soud for a few seconds, but it was very fade and rchrchrch. Then, nothing. Aside from that little inconveniance, we are both very happy so far. Even if off topic, I have to put in a little word for the S40. That car is totally amazing. Rides smooth but yet sporty, is incredibly comfortable and looks great. My wife is flying.

I'll check with the dealer on monday. Let me know if anyone experienced the same problem.

Got my answer. THe headphones have indeed their own frequencies on eache cars. Mine where stached by the battery under the storage compartment. They worked fine at first trial. 1000 click on the car and I love it. Going for my first long distance trip in the wild next week. Looking forward to it..

Ciao all
