My XC-90 fequently idles roughly and sometimes even stalls, during first 30 seconds after starting the engine. I should note it only does it when the car is cold. After 30 seconds, the car increases the RPM,s to above 1,000, then the drops, and the idling becomes smooth. It is becoming more frequent.

I have been using premium gas all the time. Car actually has 2500 miles on it. Dealer told me to switch to regular gas but I would expect to be able to use either type.

Any suggestions ?

My C70 2.0 LPT (2000 W reg)has the same problem! nearly stalls if you don't rev it after a cold start! I am interested in any feedback
