Hi,

I have a 1992 Volvo 940 GLE, and the rear window spray was fine, but the front window sprayers were weak (dribbling). I replaced the T just under the sprayers to no avail (only $7.00 in stock, at least).

I noticed that when I used the front sprayers, I would go through washer fluid quickly, so I opened the hood, tied the sprayer lever to a cord, and pulled the cord to activate the sprayer so I could see what happened under the hood. It turns out that the hood sprayers' feed is attached to a T near the pump, where one end goes into a clear plastic section and then on to the sprayers. The other side of the T just has a 1 foot rubber hose, and was dumping washer fluid into the engine compartment. I squeezed this hose shut, pulled the cord, and the hood sprayers worked.

My question is - what should this 1' rubber hose be attached to? Am I missing a pressure release valve? Currently, I plugged it up with the end of a screw holding the front side panel to the hood.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

It's not the one that's supposed to go to your headlamp wash / wipe, is it?

Good luck.

Stu.
