Hello,

I have a 2002 V70 SE. Yesterday morning it didn start.
The starter just does not turn the engin. Is there some simple things
to check before verifing the starter.

Thank you in advance

Melgur

Melgur,

Assuming you have lights, etc. and battery power and have checked for blown fuses.

I had a similar experience with my "new to me" 2002 V70 the other day and it turned out the problem was that I had placed my EZ-Pass (this lets you go through special lanes on toll roads without having to pay with cash) too close to the ignition and the radio signal it sends out apparently interferes with the communication between the security chip in the key/fob and the one in the antenna in which is in the staeering column (around the ignition). Perhaps you havea new RFID device on your keyring?

Thank you for your help.

Problem was in fuses.

Best wishes

Melgur
