Hi All,

Proud owner of a '97 S90 and '95 850 GLT wagon (bot new). My '97 S90 is acting up. As soon as car starts up (very difficult on cool morning - 50 deg.) temp indicator spikes to HOT area of gauge. A/C does not work and cooling fans come on immediately. Sounds like I need to change out this sensor. Where is the rascal and is this a reasonable job to do w/o special tools?

Thanks for any help.

Cool site you've got here.

Sam

Thanks! Will have a look-see. Any other thoughts out there. Remember, I am getting a spiked temp indication as soon as I start the car.

I'm getting the exact same thing on my 98 S90. Also, the AC quits when the guage spikes.

My Volvo guy told me it's the temterature sensor
