have you tried any of the quick fit clutch specialists? its been a few years but i have found them to be cheaper and quicker than doing it myself in the past. Try the yellow pages, dont know your area but "mr clutch" used to be a national organisation. I would personaly cringe at anything over say £200.

Best of luck

I take my 850 to Motor Medics in Norwich - Absolutely superb for all things Volvo - They know more than anyone else I have tried - (Even Volvo themselves) - I am sure they would charge a lot less than that. Is it a case that you could just fit a new plate in it ? as that would be much cheaper.
If you are near Norwich I highly recommend them.
