Hi guys, anybody got an idea what this noise could be. Was in a bit of a rush over a longish distance last night, approx 140 km journey with some interesting bends and turns so had to use my brakes quite hard a few times as I was in a bit of a rush. At low speeds below 100kmh the brakes were quiet and were biting normaly, about the last quarter of the journey I had opened the car up to 180kmh and when I braked for the one turn coming up I had a strange whirring/humming noise coming from my ffront brakes and their bite was just not the same, was not the ABS as I could feel no pulsating through the pedal. Thereafter, any braking from speeds in excess of 100kmh were producing this sound. However, this morning all has returned to normal and the brakes biting fine and no sound. You think I should have Volvo check this out?

brake fade. upgrade the pads. ebc green stuffs are good for that sort of driving. afterthat, the mods to prevent it get expensive.

Tx for the reply. Wonder if Volvo will still honor my warranty with those pads. Must say, made interesting hum noise. But at least I know now that my T5 goes and handes exceptionally well.
