I had a 67 Cougar with headers once. It really sounded good. I wouldn't trade back though. :)

Any of the big three with their respective v-8's . High revving 302, 289. Any Mopar 8 even the 318, if done right. Ferrari 12's on the Mulsanne straight. My panhead harley on full tilt on the Long Island Expressway at 2:00 am. A Hayabusa on the bottle with a new can at 10,000. Basically, almost all cars sound awsome to me for one reason or another. Except my cousins Daihatsu in Cyprus. Unless she changed her mind and installed a twin turbo setup. hahahahahahahaha. Later

On pure sound: a Tatra 613 V8. Beautiful mixture between a Beetle and a V8, best of both worlds.

On an everyday basis: anything that doesn't make a sound, like a jag V12 or my present V90. Important as i'm doing about 700 miles a week in it.

how many of us have watched Gone in 60 seconds and dreamed of elanore, that glorious '67 shelby gt500? for me i must agree a 'busa screaming down the road or an r6 with a deep tone can are awesome. but the best i heard was an old land rover believe it or not. used for hill rallye's it had a 4.0 v8 with twin straight through exhaust. on a cold february morning hearing that sweet sound echo through the hills as it tackled mud and water put even elanore or the general lee himself to shame. inspired me to do the same with my old 109.
but my s40 with twin powerflow exhausts and viper induction is the smoothest purr and growl ever. and it's mine. not biased at all!

Cant beat the sound of a 302HO or a 351W. These cars have the cleanest sound all around. IMO

I was just taking the harley out for a ride, okay a fast ride and I had a guy blow past me on the LIE in an RS4 Audi with the V8. WOW!!!!! That was some really nice sounding 8. don't know if it was worked or cat backed on the exhaust but he was smoking. i was cranked to about 105 and that is seriously uncomfortable on a harley and this guy just walked away from me. wish I had the hayabusa with me today. oh well, I guess I will go hunting another day. and remember kids, do not street race because it is bad and it will make hair grow on your palms. now excuse me while I go shave my paws.
