Hello!

Today when I was driving I got a message, that translated from swedish to english would be "Engineperformance reduced". It prevented my car from accelerate above 1000 rpm. I have searched the forum and found something similar, as "Performance reduced", that sometimes could get the same symptoms. In those cases the solution has been an excange of ETM (Electronic Throttle Module). According to Volvo´s webpage, this is a well-known error on S60, S80, S70,V70, XC70 buildt between 99 and 01.

The problem is that I got a XC90 T6 2003. Does anyone know if it could be my ETM that malfunction or is it something else?

Grateful for some help :liebe011:

I took the car to a Volvocertified garage today and had them to fix the car. It was a brakeindicator witch is located at the brakeservo that malfunctioned. This one also registrated a code of error on the ETM. But an exchange of the brakeindicator was enough.

These brake sensors seem to be rubbish and have not been improved over the last 4 years.

My 2002 S60 suffered cruise problems from this and also my 2005 XC90. Progress?

I worry how this will work (fail) for active cruise and braking in the future???
