:) my sister has a 96 440 1.8 auto, but when it was serviced the light wasn't reset. any ideas? it's driving her nuts!

Oh--- I've just had the same problem.The light is the Red LED light that normally shows the movement sensor for the alarm is working.It started flashing after getting low on fuel and display said "Fuel!".Never ever ran it this low before!
I suspect it needs a re-set some-where with the electronics,when I get a warm day I will try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes,this often solves a lot of these sort of problems. You could try this first and let me know if it works! but be warned !the alarm operates when you re-connect the battery |

Further to flashing light problem,I spoke to a Volvo dealer who tells me to bring it in and connect to their "computer". I have been given this wrong information over other problems.One with a VW which I found can be re-set in 15 seconds without taking it to a dealer,and the other on Volvo keyless entry which I posted the method of re-set last year. Main dealer = ££££££££s!!
I have found some info for other Volvo models which could apply to a 460? it is quite possible the same parts are common to all models. I will take a look at this when I get time! |
