Hello, this is my first post...thanks in advance for any advice!
My problem is this: the fuel filler door on my 2001 V70 fell off yesterday. I swear I didn't force it! :-)
Looks like part of the plastic hinge has broken off. I have found a replacement hinge on-line and I understand that it may be easy to install, but how do I remove the damaged hinge?
And, should I attach the door to the hinge before I install it? Or install the hinge and then attach the door?

If you didn't get the old bracket off yet there are four push pins tthat push through and spread little fingers behind them. If you didnt get new pins with your new bracket you can make them out of the same diameter stock even a fat toothpick. Oh by the way where did you get your bracket. My door on my 2002 is broke also. Thanks Tom

Hi, thanks for your reply. I ended buying the "fuel filler door hinge" at my local Volvo dealer. It was $14.00. I had a VERY hard time attaching the door to the hinge after I installed it. I still don't think it is all the way attached! My suggestion is to attach the door before installing the hinge. Good luck!
