Who here knows who makes the sound systems in particluar the hi-performance audo system for the new s40 t5? Realy interested cause they give good sound and maybe we can e-mail them to push for the iPod connectivity.

Many people have asked this question. It would seem that Volvo does in fact design their own sound systems (as well as most of Ford Motors Luxury cars) in conjunction with Dolby. Here is the link and a quote:

Okay, now comes the problem then. Denison are the people who are doing the iPod integration, I was hoping they the people that do the audio systems as well. Since the iPod link up will then be supplied by a third party, what will the effect be on the warranty? Volvo South Africa are very very sticky with regards to the warranty and I have my suspicions that they would void your warranty if you used the Denison iPod integrator. Comments?
