Does anyone know of an iPod adapter other than the Volvo model that will work with the HU-650 stereo and allow for DIRECT control?

I am trying to avoid using the Volvo adapter if at all possible, because I think it is bullsh*t that I can't control my iPod while using the adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
