They arent that bad to install.When you install you will have to remove the molding on the roof and cut into peices and reinstall leaving gaps where the roof moldings install.

We have had good luck with the temporary rails that you can buy from REI. Meets our need and less expensive than installing permanent rails. Brian

If you don't need them permantly, I would recommend the temporary load bars. Easy to install. I got mine online at autowebaccessories. You can get locks for them too to keep them more secure.

I'm picking up my V50 next week, I ordered the Roof Rails from the parts dept. and decided to try and install them myself because my sales guy said it would cost $200 to install. I'm not the handest guy around, how hard is it to install these roof rails.

anybody have step by step pics of the install of roo rails to s40/v50? wanting to isntall one. not sure about the cutting of the moudling, any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance
