Hi I am new to this site and hope that someone out there will be able to help me.

I have had my 440 sxi for about two years now, it was bought through a mechanic who is a friend of the family and he has looked after it for me ever since. Trouble is he recently serviced the car and had it mot'd but now the radio does not work. His wife is ill at the momenmt so it feels awkward to contact him about it as it is quite trivial in comparison.

The radio is a VC602 I have no user manual or radio manual for the car (useful!) when I switch the radio on I get "cod ( )" and I have absolutely no idea what to do! Can anyone tell me how to get round this or who I can contact to get the radio reset? Thank you

You may need to contact the authorised dealer to get the radio code. Keep your VIN handy, and it would be a whole lot better to visit them with your car to prove that you have the radio legally (or so).

You're right, it may be trivial as compared to the illness of your friend's wife. Hope she gets well soon.
