Can anyone maybe post a picture of how the s40 towbar looks(fixed one). Want to make my own towbar and need some ideas. Any help would be great.

The one on mine is not an original volvo tow-bar, it's a non-detatchable witter.
I think they still use the same mounts though. If that's any good for you I'll see what I can do over the weekend, wife's at work in it at the mo'. Stu. |

Have you contacted your local dealer for a quote yet? I know Speedy's ask R 1,500.00 and the origional (fixed) will set you back R 2,800.00. I bought a detachable for R 4,500.00 from a dealer in Cape Town. Maybe you can go to a dealer and have a look at the origional before you start building one Regards |

Have a look at www.fittinginstructions.co.uk.
You can select numerous makes of towbar and models of car and see full fitting instructions with diagrams. Very helpful! Brink, Bosal and Witter instructions tend to be very clear. Mike |
