Not bad, but a little on the Honda-wannabe side I guess.. Why would you want to make a volvo look like a cheaper car from honda ? Just my opinion, no offense meant by it,.

I admire Punkkids wheel offset - not to fond of the wheels - but great offset.

I'm really looking forward to doing some mod research myself (engine wise) and am scouring the forums / net for people with existing setups. Nothing extreme, i just love this engines design.

Dam! I'm so busy I can't find a minute to take more part of this great forum! Grrrr.

Marcus, I like your thinking :gunsmilie: . If you do some research don't forget to share. I really like this offset to but I'm not sure if it does anything bad to the dynamic of the car. what's the pros and cons?

I looked into getting a new Evolve chip for my S40 until I realized that I could get the same H/P increase by installing an aftermarket "sport" air filter. Sure you have to change the filter more often...but its a lot cheaper and it does not void the warranty on the car :gunsmilie:

- Niko,
what brand air filter did you install and how much HP did you gain?
Did you do a lot of research or is the filter quite standard on the T5?

Greg,
Part #H2562500 from Heico.
http://www.heicosportiv.de/mainframe.asp?lang=gb&e1=230

I don't know the exact HP increase but I can tell a difference under heavy acceleration. Reading other peoples posts on various boards makes me believe that the filter change does a pretty good job (although the combo of new chip and filter would probably be best).

Again, I like the warranty :D

If you want a more cost effective alternative to Heico, here is the K&N filter.

Niko,
that's great! thanks for the links. Do you know what you paid for you filter? Heico does not have listed pricing on their website.

Quick question: it says it improves air flow by 40% that's cool but is there other down side to that? More dust particles in the engine? long term effects?

Greg,
The filter was a Christmas gift. I bet it was in the $40-$60 range. I am sure that it does not protect the engine as well as a stock filter so you have to ask yourself if the HP increase is worth it. It is for me
