Hi

The rear fog light has stopped working on my 1998 440si . The dashboard indication for the fog light doesn't illuminate and there is no power to the fog light bulb. I also have no power to the tail light filaments of the stop/tail lights. The stand-alone tail lights work OK. Are these problems related?

I want to check the relay but neither the owner's manual or Hayne's manual give you any clues about which relay is which. There is no indication on the inside of the relay box (which is under the bonnet with no fuses in it)

Hi Mick. Sounds like your 440 is 1992 or newer then.

Worth checking fuses first (not sure but try nos. 18 & 22).

I no longer have a 440 but believe that the rear foglight inhibitor relay in question is yellow.

Hope this helps, do let me know.

Yes it's a 93 model. I checked the fuses and will have a look to see if there's a yellow relay. Cheers

Mick
