Newbie Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 20-November 05 Member No.: 9,098 Status: Location: UAE Drives: 2006 S40 Volvo	Hi all Well we recently purcased a Volvo S40 2006 it has a basic system with Single in dash CD player Please can u tell me if i can install a CD changer which can be controlled by the audio system i have?is this possible? 2ndly I can only play original CDs and not evne CDrs? any ideas? please help

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 2 Joined: 22-November 05 Member No.: 9,152 Status: Location: Spain Drives: 2006 Volvo S40 2.0D Momentum	I have the same problem and the only solution, according to volvo is the installation of a shipper of CD by radio frequency, that it emits in FM and it would be heard by the radio of the car.

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 10-January 06 Member No.: 10,609 Status: Location: USA Drives: 2006 S40 T5	I just got a 2006 S40 T5 with the premium sound system and was VERY upset when I found out that it did not like my collection of over 400 CD-Rs. A service advisor at the dealer, who was very sympathetic and seemed to be quite knowledgeable, said that TDK brand of CD-Rs should play OK. After doing some research, I’m about to start reburning my collection onto TDK CD-Rs. PS: The car is GREAT to drive. Nice pick-up and handling! Looks good too - with the sport package and rear spoiler.

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 9 Joined: 15-January 06 Member No.: 10,745 Status: Location: Canada Drives: S70 T5 SE	You may want to try burning onto CD-RW. And make sure you close the session on the CD. I had the same problem, and using the -RW discs worked.
