I didn't see anything about this on this forum (it's been posted on Swedespeed), so I thought I'd provide a link for members here.

Apparently, Volvo is extending ETM warranty in the US and Canada to 10 years/200,000 miles (from new) for basically all 1999 to 2001 cars equipped with Magneti Marelli electronic throttle modules. Letters will start going out in December. Please note that this is not a recall; only failing parts will be replaced.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find it...

I have an '01 S60 and had the ETM replaced a couple of months ago (approx. 56,000 miles). Is the replacement ETM a new, reliable design or can I look forward to another failure?
