Hello, I'm ordering a Barents Blue S40 T5 through a local dealer this weekend. (It will take 3 months to get here!) However I am vacillating about selecting the dark or light leather interior. I like the looks of the dark leather, but it gets major hot here in Hawaii. Any thoughts or suggestions on the practicality or aesthetics of the light leather? I'd also be grateful to read any previous posts on "interior color selection" (couldn't find any in this forum). Thanks!

I have a 2004 V40 w/light beige leather and I think it's working out well. I park my car in the sun 5 days a week and it gets pretty hot and I opted not to go with a dark colored interior just because dark colors absorb more heat. I haven't had any problems yet with the leather showing dirt and I really haven't done much to maintain the interior of my car.

My past three cars have had black interior, so I dont realize a diff anymore. If u like the dark color that much though, maybe get some seat covers if it gets that bad...just a thought.
