Hi,

Looking for some help. Mother-in-laws S40 battery is flat but cable release has snapped.
Any ideas on how to release the catch?

First look under the dash by the handle and see if there is any cable you can see to pull with pliers. If not then you will have to climb under the car and try to find the cable/latch to release it.

Hi , Any joy with undoing the bonnet. I put the car on a ramp and short of removing the front bumper could not see a way of getting to the release.AA came out and spent 1hr trying but no good. If you had any joy please mail me on mail@pgoddard.co.uk. Hoping to hear good news. Regards James
