I am considering initiating a class action lawsuit. Anyone interested? I need one more person to join with me. After fixing my flooded out car, my husband brought the car in for the 6th time in 6 months for a seat belt issue (4 radio trips, one very bad flood and now the seat belt) and a mechanic starting chatting with him. He told my hubby that cars are coming in in DROVES with flooding issues. Seems Volvo has been aware of this major issue for quite some time now. They continue to sell them and there are no recalls. I am going to resolve my issue through NJ Lemon Law. However, I would like to start a class action lawsuit. HELP!! I was so excited to buy a new Volvo and now I am so depressed.

kcwd,

Could you tell us a little more about your leaking roof. What exactly is leaking?
How long have you had your car before it leaked? etc,
you have me concerned now. :(

Our car was in the shop more than it was out for the first 9 months that we had it but our issues were all resolved and they "compensated" us well for our troubles. They gave us the titaniumpremium 100,000 mile warranty with road hazard coverage for free and $7000 cash back(to cover the payments while it was in the shop--I didn't feel that I should be paying on a car not in my pocession and they agreed)...so needless to say I don't feel that I could not sue at this point. I would persue it though if they have not compensated you at all.

I couldn't be happier with our car now

I have the car for only 8 month now but except for some wind shield wipers I had change at no cost I haven't had any particular problems.
I'm a happy customer so far...

Wow the flooding issue. Like I posted in my thread. They ended up giving me the VIP warranty to 100k miles as well. but there is like a $100 deductible or something along those lines. No compensation as all repairs (while were VERY frequent) were very short. I don't think a lawsuit would stand, because they would make the same arguement in court that they did to me in the dealership, that it's my fault for neglecting to keep my car in functioning condition by parking it under trees that dropped lots of leaves, etc.

kcwd, do you have any idea where the water gets in, is it dripping in through the sunroof area? Others have had water dripping on their drivers side area I thought i saw somewhere.
