Hi all:

These cars should/could get much better milage if the xmission would lock up in OD at speed. Has anyone come across any fix(chip change, etc.) to get it to lock up at speed?? Every time you let-up on the gas, then re-apply it, they change back and rev-up before going back into high gear. Do I have a dud, or is this normal? Any Ideas would be great..

Ron

You should have the PNP and control module inspected.

What is the PNP?? This car has shifted like this since new. I brought it up with the service dept. and they said it was normal. I suspect they may be right, having it do this would make it a little spunkiera9everyone is always trying to compete with BMW). If the xmission is electronically controlled, I was hopeing a chip change might change it?? The shifting is so seamless, I never noticed it for some time. The tac gave it away.
