Hi,

I've installed a genuine Nokia Car Kit with cradle etc to my S40. I've installed them in my previous cars (Astra Coupe/Mondeo) and i have been able to connect a wire direct to the radio head unit to automatically mute when a call is made/incoming.

The problem is that i have managed to get the head unit out - but can not find where to put this wire. Is it even in the back of the head unit on the new S40?

Does anyone know where this connection is?

CAN ANYONE HELP ME?! (I don't want to pay £70 for someone to come to put one wire in - when I have done all the work!)

Otherwise I'll keep on manually turning the radio off when a call is made/incoming!

Many thanks

I've bought a special cable wich doen't come cheap. For €102,34 this device disconnects al speakers on incoming call's and puts the telephone sounds over either the ftont, right or both front speakers. www.optimount.nl

This is the only way of muting your radio, as far as I can tell. Probably not what you hoped for!?

With kind regards,

Pascal

Hello ,

There is a standard volvo solution ,the so called AEM module.
It isn't cheap but it is an original volvo solution.
With this module the radio sound mutes on incoming & outgoing calls ( however you can't hear the telephone sound over your on board loudspeakers).

The Genuine Volvo parts you need : 30739984 Mounting set.
30664473 Telemute Application.
8698353 AEM Application.

costs about eur 150,-

At this AEM module there is a pin which you have to connect to the car kit. and voila.

for more info this link is perhaps helpfull: http://acctest.semcon.se/
