[SIZE=14]I have owned from new an XC90 T6 for 13 months and have a serios problem with excessive tyre wear particularly shouldering of the front tyres.
After 20,000 KMs 12000 miles the tyres were worn out.
This is a major problem , as I go onto other Volvo Forum websites and see lots of other complaints.. Volvo Australia are stonewalling and unhelpful. The new set of tyres are showing severe sgns of shouldering after 3000 kms. The car has had 3 alignment checks and found to be in spec. This car is driven by my wife and is never driven in anger. I'm a owner of a 2003 XC90 T6. Towards the end of 2003 I noticed the car tended to vear to the left for some reason. Didn't think to much of it. Since I've been to the Volvo service about 7-8 times(29days), I did mention this problem. Three times they aligned the car over the last year. There reply every time, nothing wrong. The car tends to go in the direction of the roads sloap.
Several months ago I noticed missing tread on my drivers rear. The out side only. I menstioned this straight away. At 7300km the Volvo service rotated the tyres according to my service book. The tyre in question was from the front offside. Now at 11,500km this tyre is losing the tread as well, now illegal. I've complained and finally spoken to Volvo Australia's customer service. There response, this is a wear a tear item, tyres normally are changed between 10-30 thousand kilometres and yours is not covered. I asked for a letter. I'm sure the contents will be general. I believe there is a major problem with the distribution of the power to the wheels. When I accelerate hard the car initially steers to the right, then straight. As I easy off the accelerator, and cruise, it vears to the left.
Other problems experienced and still on going:
1) Integrated phone was upgraded due to echo
2) Tail gate lever failed to open.(cable came loose)
3) Foot brake doesn't hold on incline, creaks forward. This ongoing.
4) Sunfoof has missing deflectors(will be installed)
5) Xeion lights, out of calibre (still ongoing)
6)and more
Besides all these problems, the overall car design, safety and comfort are quite good.
I will be taking this further. I've starting to take pictures and researhing other complaints from around the world whom are experiencing the same or similar issues for future use.

About the alignment, my XC90 T2.5 04 also has had some alignment issue.
I took the vehicle back to the dealer couple times before the alignment was done correctly. That was because the service manager had to call Volvo to get a special
alignment setting.

However, since my last service, the vehicle is pulling left again.
