I've got a 240 I just aquired and it took us a long time to discover the little ground strap was broken on what they call the impulse sensor. (magnetic pickup in the distributor) . I've found the entire part for around $115, but all that's wrong is the ground strap. I took a little peice of tin foil and used a paper clip to tie it to the original strap for a test, and the car fired right up.

Is there a way to repair/extend this ground strap without spending $100???

Well so far other than the volvo dealer locally, I've only found the part at napa for $113 plus shipping. Got any suggestions on who might sell the module alone?
