I Have a 1986 740 GL and a Old Wrecked 1984 760 GLE Now My Question Is Can I Swap The Engine And Tranny From the 760 Into My 740 as the 740 only needs engine / tranny to make it 760

Is it 4 cylinder to 4 cylinder?
Or is it going to be 6 cylinder into a 4 cylinder body?

I think the GLE came with a V6 and the turbo came with the 4 cyl TI.

Don't bother with the V6 as it is a pre 1987. These had awful fuel injection and real early cam failure. Get another 4 cyl or Turbo.
