I own a 1995 960 wagon, and it intermittantly will not shift out of Park, even though I'm pressing the brake pedal. When this happens, the windows will not roll down. After taking the ignition key in and out and tapping my head and rubbing my tummy, it works.

Any ideas? Are the windows and Park lock feature connected? Ignition problem?

Might be a bad ignition switch. See if anything else doesn't work when it happens.

Definetly a bad ignition switch, when this happens if you'll turn the keyback just a hair everything will work. Thats the good news, the bad news it will get worse.
