Just wondering if anyone here has tried fitting in an independent ATF intercooler just for the ATF.

This way, the present cooling system with the main intercooler, will only need to focus on the engine, while the separate and smaller intercooler would focus on the ATF.

I understand the benefits outweigh the costs on this one.

Anyone has any ideas?
:gitara:

The intercooler used is the one fitted on Mitsubishi Pajero (4WD).

Thanks!

If you really aren't towing or anything like that it won't help at all.

Hey, Tech!
What do you mean by 'won't help at all'...?

Is it going to be like an unneccessary thing (since I won't be carrying or towing huge loads and all)?

After having the gearbox operated on, like TWICE within the same month, (technician here said, i was pressing the car too much that the seals within the G-box gave way) I was informed that it was the best thing to do, in order to prolong the life of the gearbox.

Any ideas if that is right?

It won't really cool it anymore. The factory cooler is a very good design and works very well.

You might lose 1-5 degrees in the fluid but not to much more.
