Here's the scene,

1) Took out the Air hose filter (the one from the Filter Container and goes directly to the turbo unit) and cleaned it, really well using a towel.

2) Plugged it back in and the car starts, and in less than 10 seconds, sputters and die. Lambda light illuminated.

3) Unplugged hose again and rechecked for any blockage, nothing.

4) Checked MAF sensor but couldn't see if anything was wrong.

5) Went to one mechanic and he said it is the Idle Air Controller Valve (IACV) near the vacuum tree in front of the engine. After disconnecting the IACV, the car starts and lives more than a mere 10 seconds. But it happens again.

Any ideas, Tech?

The idle motor could be bad. Also did you get all the little hoses back on the big hose once you got it back in?

Yupp everything was on again.

Anyway, called the tow truck and with their "magic hands", the car started with just one try. :haha: Just his luck. Met him at the mech. and he was quoted for a new MAF sensor.

MAF sensor! Oh well. That was the inital thought too though, but he told me that even after disconnecting the MAF sensor, the car died anyway. But i guess it's OK now...

Funny, funny...
