From time to time the horn stop functioning. It came back on some bumpers on the road :)

The horns are ok, I verified.
I suspect a wire or maybe the switch in the steering wheel.
Where is located the switch? Because of the Airbag I supose is not so easy to reach. Can the wheel be disasambled easy?

To remove the air bag you will need a long t-30 bit to loosen the screws holding the air bag to the steering wheel.

Most likely a bad wire connection in the steering wheel.

Some dealers sell a repair kit.

I was in traffic and beeped my hoer and it got stuck in th on position--how degrading--i unplugged them. I will pulled the steering wheel off and tried to fix the switches, but the contacts are shot. Good luck in getting replacement parts.

You're right, can be embarassing. :haha:

On mine, only one works. And sounds like a small, kuchi-rat scooter when honked. :haha:

Got the mech to refasten the connection to the horn, and still happens. Bought myself a big-S airhorn and plan to recoonect the whole thing solid this weekend, with the new horn. :)

Any special instructions that I should be weary of, Tech? It's plug and play, right? Should I disconnect the battery first?

Thanks!

Maybe not, TEch. I'm thinking of to just unplug the old horn 'heads' and replace it with the new one. I've looked and thus far I think the 'connecting' switches would fit nice.

Anything I need to know?

I wouldn't want to unplug the old and plug the new and have the horn hoking perpetually for no apparent reason.

:)

Then just wire it up with a push button switch.

Done. Thanks for the tip.

But now, I'm beginning to think that my new horns sound "too tame". Like a scoot's horns. Dang! Sounded real loud when i tested it before.

Argh.
