Hi, I'm new to this forum and was hoping to get some information on changing the ball joints on my 81 245. Is this a very difficult process, I have some mechanical experience and am not afraid of tackling most jobs. I have the haynes manual but am not quite sure how difficult this will be. any replies will be appreciated. Thanks Dale

It is pretty straight foward and easy to do.

Once you start you will see what you have to do.

but you MUST have a proper alignment after the task so I would be thinking of simply giving whole job to the suspension man ["or woman"] - or woman - ie the labour cost is small compared to the cost of the new joint so not much to be gained by doing yrself IMHO
