Does anyone know how to check the level of the gearbox oil on my S60/top it up as necessary, noticed a slight sound coming from that area in certain gears 3rd and 4th mainly - 1st , 2nd and 5th are all dead quiet.

Just wondered how to check and then top up the oil level if required?

There should be a dipstick in the egine bay. Mines a manual, so I cant tell u where its at. Just look for one around the trans. U should do it with the engine running.

Most cars seem to have cap labeled for oil if u need to add some.

If u have the owners manual, it should tell u how to do it as well
