Our 76 245 wagon runs perfect with a full tank but at about 6 gallons it has poor starting and idle. Thank you for any feeback. George

You might want to pull the pump out of the tank and check the hose from the pump to the pick up tube.Sometimes the hose breaks and when the fuel gets low it will run out of gas due to the hose being broke.
