If you remove the glass part of the sunroof you should be able to slide the headliner assembly out to repair the material.

Hi, how easy is it to remove the glass? Reason for asking is that my 1993 GLE has developed a nice water leak via the sunroof. I have check the drain holes and they appear fine. I am unsure if the leak is from the seal around the porthole (the foamy one) or the seal that is actually around the glass.

Any advice on checking/fixing leaks gratefully received.

Remove the plastic covers on the insdie edges of the sunroof then you can remove the screws.
