Hello people.

Just ordered a S60 T5 SE yesterday, the spec i've asked for ment that delivery will be about 8 weeks... And to think, i've only test driven a diesel S60 estate. (i was impressed) I'l be trading in my S type jaguar, when i pick up the S60. I can't wait...

A couple of questions...

This may sound silly, but what's the advice on 'running in'

Anyone on here from the Isle of Man??

Cheers,

Andy

:00000732: If "running in" is the break-in period, Volvo says there is none (at least in the U.S.)

Hi,

Yes, 'running in' i guess is the same as 'break in'

Well, i think i'll be taking it easy for a little while, to give the car an easy start in life, and so i get used to it, and the way it drives.

I'll post some pics when i get it...

Cheers,

Andy

 A T5 on the Isle of Man eh - almost as much fun as on 2 wheels! Those fog lights will see some service then. I'm an old-fashioned soul (and definitely not a mechanic) but I even run-in my new company cars for at least 600 miles, normally double that. Isle of Man roads mean lots of gearchanges & rev variations so as long as you don't over-stress the engine or use more than say 60% of maximum revs for a while then all should bed-in beautifully. Enjoy!

Sorry for the delay... The Isle of Man is the country i live in. A small island between England and Ireland. A Tax haven, circa 80,000 residents, 36 miles long by about 11 wide. Home to the T.T. motor bike races, some rather old and starnge laws, including the lack of a national speed limit.

Don't get me wrong, there are speed limits for most places you'd expect, but once out of the restricted areas, YeeHaaa...

One thing's for sure, you'd have some fun with the type R over here.

Cheers
