1992 240 gl will not start. went to tow it home the next day and it started then died out after only running for a minute. engine cranks but no spark from coil. when i got car home. i let it sit up over night . the next day i went out and wiggle wiring from flywheel pickup sensor my son then cranked over the motor and the car started and has ran ever since. the wiring from the sensor looks new (we just bought car six months ago).
so i dont know if there was a bad connection their. or what. what i like to know is how toc heck the engine codes without having to buy a test meter or having to take it to a shop any help thanks.

I think it just shows codes that are present.

How does the outer part of the speed sensor look?

If it is cracked I would replace it.Most likely that is the problem.

111 means no codes present.
