I have a '94 850. When I hit the brakes, a warning light appears on the dash, as if there is a brake light out. However, all bulbs are accounted for and working. I do have a fog light out, but would that cause this fault?

Any ideas? Thanks all for helping with my seat cable issue!

If all of the bulbs arent the same brand it might do that.

Not many people understand how the bulb failure light setup works.

It works by resistance. Two different brands will have different resistance thats why it will turn the light on.

Another Family member and myself both drive an 850, mine the nicer of the two.. (Did I mention manual tranny?) She was having the same issue with hers, so I popped out the nifty light panel in the back of my car only to find myself afflicted with the same issue upon ignition. Easy fix I've found, if the bulbs are the same and this occurs is to simpy remove and reinstall the bulbs. Sounds dumb, but it works!

(It resets the resistance in the light board by clearing the connection, magic...)

Always replace the bulb on both sides when one of them stops working...
