My 2000 Volvo S70 AWD vibrates beginning at about 15 mph and greater. It mostly vibrates between 15 - 25 mph, but there is still slightly vibrates after that speed. The vibration can be felt in the steering column. I tried putting the car in park and revved it up and no vibration was felt, so problem seems to lie in the drive-train. This vibration is not due to bad or improperly balanced tires, because I just replaced them and had a front end alignment as well. I took it to a garage and the mechanic drove it around for a little bit and said it could be a CV axle. He had minimal experience with Volvo's so he said to not take is word on it. Any ideas on what this problem could be? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi! My car shakes like yours but at 80-90km hr. I know my inner drive shaft parts are broken and it would cost me 650.00$ cdn for a rebuilt. Your car might have an unbalance drive shaft, cv axle or a bearing problem. If i were you, i'de go an see an expert in a Volvo repair shop that's not a Volvo dealership. That's what i do and it cost me 60.00$ an hour and there good usually. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif) Daniel

I have s70 glt and I had the same shaking thru the steering found out my self one of my ball joints was bad, easy way to check jack up your car and push and pull on side of tire to see if it moves, If it is a ball joints it will cause uneven wear on your tires.
