Just wondering if anyone has faced this before...

Someone told me that the Lambda Sond light can/may self-cancel itself after a few days, especially if you fix the problem when it first appears.

Though doubtful, I would like to sek clarification to all the technicians who understand the system well.

1) Under what circumstance could the Lambda Sond light cancel itself (without intervention via the OBDII reader?)

2) Under what circumstance could it not?

Thanks!

After not seeing the problem again after so long it will turn off the check engine light but won't clear the code. The code should still be there but the light just not on.

It depends the car has to go through 3 driving cycles.
It could take from 5 to 7 days to happen.
