Has anyone replaced the heater core on S80? If you did, could you please post the detailed instruction? Thanks.

I got these instructions from eautorepair from the web paid subscription there trans removal was good info

HEATER CORE
Removal & Installation

Drain coolant. Using Pliers (1158957), remove heater hoses in engine compartment. Remove sound proofing panels from under instrument panel. Remove brakelight switch. Remove heater hose tie straps. Remove heater core screws. Place cloth around heater core and carefully drain residual coolant. Disconnect heater hoses and position aside. Remove heater core. To install, reverse removal procedure.

# Twist the catch on the hose connection. Pull the quick-release connector straight out. A small amount of water should run out. Tie the hose up.

Thanks! Now I need to figure out how to remove the brake light switch (two tabs should be pressed together?). I got the side panel out easily. I am checking to see if the lower plastic panel (where to unscrew?) on the steering column needs to be removed.

Yes press tabs together on connector. I found that using a flat screwdriver to get the tab to unlock the first time helps. Dont know about cover
