Hey everyone, let me tell you the noise under my Volvo is getting louder. It only sounds like it's banging against something when I am driving about 25 or 30 MPH. Sometimes whenI turn left it makes the noise also. Does anyone have any ideas what it might be to save my sanity?

have you checked to see if your wife is still at home lately - you may have run over her and she is trying to tell you something

normally if something is noisy it is female

also what do you call the volvo - maybe IT is female

Are all the engine mounts good?
Are the sway bar links and spring seat good.

Also, Is it really from UNDER the CAR or UNDER the HOOD?

I had one experience on this before but at the end, realised that the noise came from a couple of metal-tools I totally forgot about, under the SEAT (yuppp... in the cabin!) :wallbash:

many yrs ago my dad was the same with a noise he felt came from the boot [ie trunk in american] and he checked all loose tools etc and finally he got my mum to drive him around the block with him in the trunk

well he had trunk key in pocket and so a lot more noise once he got back of "let me out of here"

we had to get fire brigade to hack a hole for him to pass the key out so was an expensive noise
